Hook - V0.0.4 Devlog - Inventory System Beginnings


Ok so I started working on the Inventory system. I got tired of the objective system. As I was working on it I kept getting ideas about the objective system and trying to jump back and forth. I need to just focus on one thing. Over the weekend I took a break obviously spent time with family. I did a bit of research on the inventory system. Then today I started working on it. I can't figure out the rest of the Widget so it looks incomplete.


As you can see I have the Inventory ready and the hot-bar ready as well but I need squares in there. I want to put the character model on the left with clothes and armor type things. I think the structs need to be made in the editor and not in code. But then I can't access them in code so right now I am unsure about that I need to figure this out. For the objectives I made two in order to progress but I want there to be one so if I change something in one I don't need to do the other.


I think that before I continue I need to do research on that because the struct is important with all the systems and I need to make data tables from them but I can't if it is only in code for some reason. I even tried to make it the same way we do the other cpp files and it wouldn't work.


It won't let me create the class. But I can make a file and reference it in code.
